I'm becoming a fan of Chinese food for the first time, thanks to this family-owned local restaurant that offers gracious service, generous portions and an array of satisfying choices. It has sustained us on several occasions since our move to this small but growing community, and we plan to become regular, happy customers!

Authentic Chinese food ... Reasonable price. Glad we found such a place after a day visiting Crater Lake.

Passing through town and saw this restaurant on Yelp. We got the Crab puffs, the Shrimp Kung Pao, and the Mar Far Chicken. The wait time after ordering was really short. I was really surprised at how fast they got our food out to our table. Portion sizes were nice and big. Everything tasted really great! Really crispy, fresh-tasting vegetables & peanuts in the Kung Pao. Good sauce. And the Mar Far Chicken (battered & deep-fried) was a really great texture and flavor. If we lived around here, I would be coming back regularly.

Long trip so stopped in LaPine about 8:20pm. We were fortunate that they were open til 9:30pm. Service was excellent Very very clean and bright interior Food was excellent. When I read other Yelpers that there was a lot of food. Guess I didn't believe it. My husband is 6'4" a big tall guy and he can put food away. We ordered egg fu young chicken and shrimp broccoli. Big mistake we only needed one entrée. We would have had leftovers with one. Because soup and rice came w entrees. And portions we're humongous. Veggies very fresh and there were large helpings of chicken and shrimp Resturant off main road and Not easy to find. But worth it.

I would rather eat at 7-11! We order beef, pea pods, special chow main I could not chew or swallow it. Looking at the meat it was unrecognizable. Save yourself please.

Look at the size of this portion for 8 bucks!!! Super fresh , crispy vegetables , piping hot and soooooo delicious! Service is great! Super fast and the place is nothing fancy but very clean. I'm only in Lapine about 3 times a year but I promise that I will plan my visits around lunch or dinner at this place from now on. I found this place on yelp, once again yelp is awesome!!

Wow, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the deliciousness of their food! New to town & from the big city where there are plenty of Chinese food options, none of which are as good as lucky fortune! 5 stars for taste, price, quality and overall great service. We had orange chicken, low mein, fried rice and Mongolian beef, we took it to go- and enjoyed it thoroughly! Plenty left over and will enjoy it all weekend long :) yummmmy! Thanks!

Off of William Ford Rd. Be careful or you might miss it. Never to busy, great service, tasty Egg Drop soup and both times here the food has been great at a family value price. $5.95 for Sweet & Chicken (enough to share), rice and soup. A new favorite on the way to Redmond or back home to So. Cal!

This is the best Chinese food we have had in a long time. Have eaten at The Lucky Fortune several times. The service is wonderful. The place is very clean, no matter how busy they are.

This is definitely one of La Pines hidden treasures! My husband and I ordered the crab puffs as an appetizer and we were amazed at how delicious they were. As an entree we had an an order of beef lo mein and garlic chicken, this was enough to feed both of us plus have a ton of leftovers! And to top it off it was only 25 bucks for the entire meal! Delicious food, great prices and great customer service! I would definitely recommend this place!

Great food great prices. They give great quantity of food! My wife and I ordered three dishes and had two complete meals still with leftovers. Food was tasty and let's say pretty darn good for a small place like La Pine. Highly recommended!

I busted up laughing when my sister read another review calling lucky fortune the 'hidden gem' of la pine, however after seeing the awesome prices, large portions, and great tasting food I would have to agree. The highlight of the meal was unquestionably the wor wonton soup!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
